Calico walnut is a type of black walnut characterized by a marbled, streaked appearance resulting from the inclusion of both heartwood and sapwood in the same board. This gives it a fun and unique, natural pattern of grains where light and dark areas are mixed.
Mini Charcuterie Board
- General Care: Use a soft shammy cloth to gently polish any dull areas.
- Repair Minor Scratches & Marks: Use 0000 grade steel wool to buff out as much of the affected area as possible. Then, using a lint-free cloth, apply a small amount of the Tried & True Original Wood Finish to the damaged area. Follow the manufacturers normal recommended application directions. For watermarks — if damage is severe, sand water mark away using fine grit sand paper until it is smooth and even with the surrounding surface. Reapply Tried & True Original Wood Finish to the water mark by following the manufacturers normal recommended application directions.
